HONG KONG, May 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — GienTech successfully hosted the “2025 GienTech Intelligent Digital Transformation Conference” in Hong Kong yesterday.

Amid the accelerating digital transformation of the global financial industry, Hong Kong is seizing the opportunity and taking proactive, forward-looking steps to establish itself as an international innovation and technology hub. The conference, themed “Powering a Future of Digital Intelligence”, brought together guests from government, financial institutions, and industry ecosystem to focus on topics such as the construction of new digital infrastructure in the financial sector and the application of innovative AI products.

Amid the global trend of digital infrastructure transformation, “ORIGIEN” is safeguarding industry transitions

Currently, distributed technologies centered on cloud computing are driving the transformation of digital infrastructure worldwide. Feng Ming Gang, Executive Deputy General Manager of GienTech, said: “Notable for its large scale, diverse scenarios, and massive customer base, the financial industry in China has pioneered the transition to a distributed architecture in recent years, providing a sample for the intelligent development of the global financial industry. GienTech has engaged in the distributed architecture initiatives of several leading banks, accumulating extensive experience in major industry projects. We continue to explore and advance innovative applications of distributed technology, creating the new digital infrastructure “ORIGIEN.” This framework offers a comprehensive product and service system based on “AI-driven + consulting-led + application reconstruction + foundational support,” and has become a vital pillar for digital transformation in the financial sector. Additionally, GienTech actively fosters collaboration among industry, academia, research institutes and end-users, enhancing the open ecosystem to support the intelligent transformation of key sectors like financial industry in the Greater Bay Area, while leveraging China’s digital transformation practices to serve global needs.”

“ORIGIEN” untilizes next-generation technology architecture as a new digital infrastructure tailored for the financial sector and other key industries. It integrates hardware and software design to meet the requirements for financial-grade security and exceptional performance. Through extensive customization and flexible restructuring, it supports the stable, efficient, and rapid development of applications, facilitating a smooth transition for IT architecture modernization and digital transformation. Since its launch in 2022, “ORIGIEN” has been successfully implemented in over 300 major projects supporting IT architecture modernization and digital transformation across various industries. GienTech co-developed the “State-owned Enterprises Financial Infrastructure Innovation Platform” with China Resources Bank, integrating 35 innovative hardware and software products from 16 vendors to support the transformation of 17 financial transaction systems architectures, thereby providing robust support for building a more resilient national financial infrastructure. GienTech also facilitates the transformation of Sichuan Rural Commercial Union Bank’s core banking system by enabling a complete migration from mainframe to a cloud-native distributed platform. This is accomplished through the design of a customized and secure technical architecture, formulation of development standards, implementation of procedural specifications, prototype validation of key scenarios, and subsequent development and implementation, establishing an industry benchmark for the transformation of trillion-asset-scale financial institutions.

New digital infrastructure evolves towards intelligentization, AI is driving application innovation in the financial sector

With breakthroughs in AI technology based on large language model, the new digital infrastructure is rapidly advancing towards intelligentization. In this context, GienTech is prioritizing the upgrade of AI-driven integrated infrastructure and the reconstruction of  applications, while exploring the deep application of AI technologies within the industry. By providing comprehensive solutions, GienTech helps financial institutions thrive in the era of explosive applications of AI model — revamping “ORIGIEN” to fully integrate computational support and intelligent toolchains, advancing the industry’s intelligent digital transformation into a new phase. GienTech also launched the ORIGIEN Financial Large Language Model and the Multimodal Intelligent Anti-Forgery Model, accelerating the adaptation and optimization of domestic computational capabilities in the financial sector, scaling production and management of AI capabilities. Concurrently, with “ORIGIEN” as its foundation, GienTech has established a comprehensive solution model of “large language models + intelligent platforms + applications + services”, which is AI-driven and tailored for diverse scenarios. It offers integrated capabilities for AI model development, training, serving as a catalyst for enterprise digital transformation.

During the conference, GienTech showcased several core products and AI applications focus on intelligence. Notably, the ChatBI Intelligent Query Product, built on an advanced large language model, integrates models like DeepSeek and Qwen to provide powerful semantic understanding and SQL generation capabilities, helping users make decisions more efficiently. The Seer Intelligent Tagging and Profiling Platform enables financial institutions to extract value from customer data through four core intelligent functions: tag generation, individual profiling, customer segmentation, and reporting. The platform processes over 1 billion data entries daily, achieving a tag accuracy rate of 92%, which has resulted in a 45% increase in customer marketing conversion rates. Additionally, GienTech’s Financial AI Agent Platform supports multi-model adaptation and local deployment, incorporating open-source models, high-performance RAG engines, agentic framework and a comprehensive industry knowledge base to assist customer in swiftly building and launching AI agents, significantly enhancing the efficiency of AI deployment and the level of business intelligence in banking systems.

This conference marks the second anniversary of GienTech’s brand launch in Hong Kong. William Wong, Senior Vice President of GienTech, said: “With Hong Kong as our starting point, GienTech has been continuously promoting our products and solutions in the global market, successfully implementing several international benchmark projects, and contributing to fintech innovation and intelligent digital transformation in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Rooted in China and with a global perspective, GienTech will continue to leverage technological innovation and explore international markets as global intelligent digital transformation advances further.
