Police on Thursday said they are investigating a suspected assault at a flat in Sham Shui Po after a video shared online appeared to show an elderly woman being physically abused by a helper.
Officers said a woman reported last week that her mother, 81, had been abused in a flat at Lai On Estate.
Footage reportedly from CCTV appeared to show the elderly woman tied up in bed and being gagged with a towel.
She was later taken to hospital with injuries to her face and hands, police said.
No arrests have been made over the alleged incident.
