NJZ Confirms Temporary Break from Activities After Final Hong Kong Stage
K-pop group NJZ told fans it would be taking a break from public performances, delivering the news during their headline set at ComplexCon Hong Kong on Sunday. The announcement came two days after a South Korean court sided with their former agency, ADOR, issuing an injunction that bars the group from pursuing independent activities until their contract dispute is resolved. ‘This might be our last performance for a little while,’ a member said on stage at AsiaWorld-Expo. ‘Out of respect for the court’s decisions, we’ve decided to pause all our activities for now, and it wasn’t an easy decision.’
Fans reacted with audible disappointment, but many expressed support both at the venue and online. NJZ’s set, which began around 9:45pm, marked their first large-scale performance since leaving ADOR. Despite earlier uncertainty surrounding their participation due to the legal case, the group’s appearance drew praise for their resilience and connection to fans. ComplexCon organizers said the three-day event was expected to attract 36,000 attendees. The band stressed the decision to pause was temporary and made to reflect the seriousness of their situation. As legal proceedings continue, the group’s future activities remain on hold.
