NJZ to Challenge Court Injunction as Contract Dispute with ADOR Escalates
The members of NJZ have responded to the Seoul Central District Court’s ruling that granted their agency, ADOR, an injunction preventing them from engaging in independent activities. While NJZ acknowledged the decision, they expressed disappointment that the court did not fully account for what they describe as irreparable damage to their trust in ADOR. The group argued that the expedited nature of the injunction ruling limited their ability to present all evidence, leaving them at a legal disadvantage against ADOR and its parent company, HYBE, which they claim continue to control access to critical information regarding their careers.
NJZ confirmed that they will appeal the injunction, stating that they have complied with all contractual obligations and bear no legal fault in seeking termination of their agreement. They reiterated allegations of unfair treatment by ADOR, which they say led to the breakdown of their working relationship. The group is now preparing for the April 3 trial, where they plan to present additional evidence that they believe will support their case.
Despite Dispute, NJZ Confirms ComplexCon Performance
Amid the ongoing legal battle, NJZ announced that they will still perform at ComplexCon on March 23. They explained that while they strongly oppose ADOR’s treatment of them, they made the decision to proceed with the event to avoid disrupting commitments to their fans and industry stakeholders. However, they made it clear that they will not work with ADOR in the future, emphasizing that their lawsuit is not about financial compensation but about protecting their rights and dignity. NJZ closed their statement by thanking fans for their support and pledging to fight for their artistic freedom.
