Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 185 points, or 0.78 percent, to open at 23,977 points on Monday.
Mainland stocks also opened higher, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.1 percent to open at 3,388 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.16 percent higher at 10,200 points.
Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Statistics said high street and factory gate prices both fell in May. The consumer price index fell 0.1 percent year-on-year, and the producer price index fell 3.3 percent. (Xinhua, Reuters)
