Kingsoft Corporation Limited (HKEX: 03888) announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2025. The Group reported revenue of RMB2.34 billion, marking a 9% year-on-year increase, supported by gains in both its office software and online games divisions.
Revenue from the office software and services segment rose 6% year-on-year to RMB1.30 billion, accounting for 56% of total revenue. This growth was driven by the steady expansion of WPS 365 and the individual WPS suite, which benefitted from increased AI user activity and robust overseas adoption through localized strategies.
The Group’s flagship cloud office platform WPS 365 continued to enhance enterprise productivity through AI-powered document management and collaboration features. The platform has seen accelerated uptake among private companies and state-owned enterprises.
Online games and other businesses recorded a 14% year-on-year revenue increase to RMB1.04 billion, led by sustained user engagement from Snowbreak: Containment Zone and content refreshes in the JX3 series. Anticipated launches such as sci-fi mech game Mecha BREAK and Fate of Sword: Zero are expected to fuel further growth in Q2 and beyond.
Gross profit rose 10% year-on-year to RMB1.92 billion, while operating profit stood at RMB601 million. Profit attributable to owners of the parent company was RMB284 million, and basic earnings per share came in at RMB0.21.
Chairman Jun Lei emphasized the Group’s focus on delivering user value through product innovation and AI integration in office software. CEO Tao Zou reiterated the strategy to maintain strong performance in core IPs while expanding into high-potential game genres such as anime and sci-fi.
Looking ahead, Kingsoft plans to deepen AI deployment, scale global expansion, and enhance R&D efforts to consolidate its leadership in software productivity and digital entertainment.
