J&T Express Showcases Sustainability Achievements in Latest ESG Report
J&T Global Express Limited (stock code: 01519) has released its 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, emphasizing its commitment to green logistics, social responsibility, corporate governance, and technological innovation. The report outlines major sustainability milestones across its logistics network.
Green Logistics and Renewable Energy Initiatives
In 2024, J&T Express significantly expanded its green infrastructure, including its first smart supply chain industrial park in Baoying, Jiangsu, China. The facility features 74,000 square meters of rooftop photovoltaic panels, which generated over 1.08 million kWh of clean electricity by December—equivalent to reducing 7,880 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
The company also scaled up eco-friendly transportation by integrating energy-saving training, route optimization, and fuel-efficient vehicles. In Vietnam, it introduced a fuel-reduction target across vehicle types. In China, J&T deployed 4,401 aluminum trailers and invested in 1,327 LNG vehicles, lifting the share of clean-energy vehicles to 26%, cutting greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 4%.
Green Packaging and Social Impact
To minimize waste, J&T promoted reusable and biodegradable materials across its operations, including reusable transit bags, degradable waterproof bags, and one-sheet e-waybills. These green practices were rolled out beyond China, extending into Southeast Asian markets.
On the social front, J&T Express deepened community engagement through donations and disaster relief across Asia, as well as educational scholarships. It also enhanced corporate governance and transparency, underscoring ESG as core to its long-term strategy.
