A total of 82 rescuers were dispatched, along with rescue equipment and supplies, it added.
The Chinese government will also provide Myanmar with 100 million yuan in emergency humanitarian assistance, with shipments to begin on Monday, its international aid agency said.
The aid package, which includes tents, blankets and emergency medical kits, was announced after President Xi Jinping spoke by phone with Myanmar’s junta chief. (Agencies)
