The Initiatives – Alongside Creative Panels, Make The Official Music Program for Thailand’s SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025

BANGKOK, June 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — 88rising, the pioneering global music and media company representing the best of Asian talent, continues to mark the roll-out of Future Asian Music (FAM), a music distribution platform powering the future of Asian independent and emerging music, with a 2-day celebration in Bangkok (July 8-9). Bangkok will be host to Future Asian Music and Levi’s® Road to FAM – The Finale, the final stop in the multi-city music series that toured Southeast Asia in May, and launch FAM Studios Bangkok, a dedicated community space for budding artists developed in partnership with Cloud11, a Bangkok-based tech collective empowering creators through labs and studios.

Road to FAM – The Finale and FAM Studios Bangkok will power SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025, Thailand’s flagship cultural initiative led by the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA) – a government-backed organization advancing the country’s soft power through creative industries. As the forum’s Official Music Program, a Road to FAM finale will feature an evening of performances merging Thai headliner MILLI with talent across Asia including FARIZ JABBA, ZAMAERA, RAMENGVRL, and more at Hua Lamphong Train Station, leveraging the iconic Thai architectural landmark to create a cultural experience curated in collaboration with entertainment company, Brite Panther. FAM Studios Bangkok will welcome emerging artists to the new creative hub anchoring The Corner House, a cultural lifestyle space in Bangkok’s historic Talat Noi district. In addition, 88rising will curate dedicated panels with a focus on music and entertainment for the culture conference.

Road to FAM – The Finale

The Levi’s®-backed Road to FAM tour electrified Southeast Asia’s grassroots, merging raw talent with cultural storytelling across four sold-out showcases that put a spotlight on the region’s rising creatives. Some highlights include:

  • Singapore – FARIZ JABBA lit up Hard Rock Cafe with narrative-driven rap odes to street life (“X Games”, “Dark Thoughts”), Y2K glitch visuals and a mid-set tribute to his fiancée.
  • Kuala Lumpur – Feminist firebrand ZAMAERA turned Over & Above into a rallying cry with her denim-clad swagger and anthems like “Helly Kelly” and “Jumper” igniting crowd-led dance breaks
  • Jakarta – RAMENGVRL closed the tour at ZOO SCBD, rewriting hip-hop rules with razor-sharp lyricism on “Cashmere” and “Vaselina” as fans rapped word-for-word, capping the night with the unreleased collab track “GERCEP”.

On July 9, Road to FAM artists will join MILLI at Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Train Station for the Road to FAM tour finale. MILLI, who rose to global prominence through 88rising’s Head in the Clouds collaborations and cross-genre work with artists like Jackson Wang, made history in 2022 as the first Thai solo artist to perform at Coachella. There, her viral “Mango Sticky Rice” performance, complete with onstage dessert-eating – sparked global headlines and landed her on BBC’s 100 Women 2022 list. Known for hits like “Sudpang” and “Phak Khon“, she most recently brought Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek onstage during her set at this year’s Head in the Clouds Festival in Los Angeles. Fresh off these milestones, and ahead of the release of her second full-length album, ‘HEAVYWEIGHT’, MILLI will headline alongside soon-to-be-announced Thai talents, uniting Southeast Asia’s music scenes for one night.

FAM Studios with Cloud 11

Launching July 8-9 at The Corner House in Bangkok’s historic Talat Noi district, FAM Studios, created in partnership with Cloud 11, will provide selected artists from 88rising’s FAM distribution platform with resources like dedicated recording studios for music production, filming, mentorship sessions, and cross-border collaboration to foster meaningful relationships and creative breakthroughs. The studios will offer residencies and various opportunities for artists to record, film, and showcase their work globally, supported by Cloud 11’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and 88rising’s international network.

Sean Miyashiro, Founder of 88rising, shares, “FAM takes our mission to amplify Asian talent on the world stage to the next level. With Bangkok as the backdrop, we’ll provide resources and network for the next generation of artists destined to shape the future of Asian music.“

SPLASH – Soft Power Forum Cultural Conference Programming

Aligned to the launch of FAM, 88rising will curate a program of music symposiums at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) as part of Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA)’s SPLASH – Soft Power Forum 2025, the largest regional platform dedicated to advancing Thailand’s creative soft power, held July 8-11 under the theme “Thailand’s Opportunities in the Creative Culture”. The culture conference will offer yet another opportunity to showcase Asia’s creative industries. Invited speakers, including global audio platform Spotify, will provide a space of discovery where the next generation of creatives and music entrepreneurs can learn from the industry’s best as well as from each other.

Thailand: A Global Creative Hub

The Official Music Program created for SPLASH – Soft Power Forum by 88rising and FAM is a testament to Thailand’s growing reputation as a global cultural and creative hub. In collaboration with the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA) – which is spearheading SPLASH 2025 as part of Thailand’s bold vision to become a global soft power hub, the program aligns with the nation’s Soft Power Development Policy, elevating creative industries through initiatives like Forum.

THACCA, a new organization, in the process of establishing, is committed to Thailand’s creative culture ecosystem, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, and boosting the nation’s cultural exports.

88rising and FAM are proud to partner with those committed to supporting the growth and visibility of Asian creative talent. Spotify is the official FAM partner of programming to support the next generation of Asian talent. Levi’s®  – the innovative lifestyle brand with a 150+ year connection to music and self-expression, partners with FAM for Road to FAM multi-city music series to spotlight rising artists across the region. New creative playground Cloud11 will bridge Southeast Asia’s creative industry with the future of entertainment technology. Brite Panther, the end-to-end entertainment company under Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, is Road to FAM – The Finale’s production partner.

Through 88rising and FAM’s initiatives in Bangkok, a new era of discovery, collaboration, creativity, and cross-cultural celebration is created, cementing Thailand as Asia’s cultural epicenter while providing a platform for talent to shine on the global stage.
